Our Story
Dapco was founded in 2013 with a simple idea: build a company that values relationships as much as results.
Founder Wendy Watson is both a registered nurse and entrepreneur. At the time Dapco was created, she was primarily at home raising three boys while also opening her family’s home to foster children. During those years, she spent countless hours researching industries, learning supply chains, and looking for an opportunity where exceptional service could truly make a difference. That search led to the utility and nuclear supply chain.
What began as a small family business has grown into a trusted supplier serving utilities, universities, and industrial customers throughout the Southeast. From the beginning, Dapco has focused on listening carefully, solving problems quickly, and building long-term partnerships rather than simply processing orders.
Today, Dapco remains proudly woman-owned and family-operated. While the company has grown significantly since its founding, its principles have not changed. We believe business is built on trust, integrity, hard work, and treating people the way we would want to be treated.
Dapco was named after Wendy and Brian’s three sons—Daniel, Andrew, and Phillip—a reminder that family has always been at the heart of the business.

Our Christian faith shapes how we conduct business, how we care for customers and suppliers, and how we make decisions. We know that products matter, but relationships matter even more. We’re grateful for every manufacturer who entrusts us with their brand and every customer who allows us to earn their business. Those partnerships are the foundation of everything we’ve built, and they’re what continue to drive us forward.
